Regulations and More Info:
This is the original MMC ultra distance. The MMC ultra has taken place every year since 2012 - even during the pandemic.
2023 is the last year the runners are taken by boat to start in Guddingsvika, 403 masl. From 2024 the runners will start at Sulåmoen, and then run to Guddingsvika as the first stretch.
From Guddingsvika, the ultra trail passes numerous lakes and nine mountains above 1000 masl. The terrain has stretches with mire and rocky mountains, and spectacular views all the way.
There is one main aid station at the Angeltjønna cabin, 21K before the finish at Teveltunet. The runners must bring enough food as the services at the check points will be limited. This is mainly due to logistical challenges, as the check points are at the mountain tops. Water can be filled many places along the trail.
GPX-file can be found in the download area, where you can also find files with details and coarse descriptions for all the stages.
